The story

Well tailored, without needing to be loud about it.

My name is Popoola Mutiat. I studied Fine and Applied Arts at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, specialising in fashion and fabric. That’s where I properly learned fabric construction and the discipline behind impeccable tailoring, and where colour theory first caught my interest. It still does. It’s something I keep studying, not something I learned once and set aside.

But my love for fashion didn’t start in a classroom. It started with something simpler: wanting outfits that were well tailored without needing to be loud about it. That’s still what I believe today. Everyone deserves an outfit tailored so well it feels like it was made just for them.

I see that belief proven every time a client puts on what I’ve made her, whatever her size, and tells me how beautiful and how comfortable she feels in it. That combination, looking good and actually feeling good in it, is what I’m working toward with every piece.

“I make dresses for women who know who they are, and would rather their clothes say so quietly: through the fit, the finish, the one detail that gets noticed.”
